Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identify key informants in the local community.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree equivalent in social work.
- 2-3 years of experience in community work, especially in the environmental and health fields.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The Tech Unit Program Coordinator will provide programmatic and administrative support for Mercy Corps Programs, primarily relating to Gaza Sky Geeks (GSG) expansion activities, in the West Bank. The PC will work with a network of local and multinational partners and stakeholders on issues concerning youth training, employability, capacity building, and economic development. The PC will work closely with the Program officer and GSG Vertical Leads on all aspects of the program and provide effective and efficient support to ensure smooth implementation including programmatic, administrative, logistical and procurement support, information gathering, and organizing training. The PC will work to ensure data quality, including data collection, data entry, and sound filing and documentation of program records for participants and activities. The PC will collect, analyze and report on monitoring and evaluation data, and prepare scopes of works as requested.
Essential Responsibilities
Support WB technical community strategy implementation including Technical boot camps, Technical training, and Self-study group offerings.
- Lead on the technical offerings implementation, quality assurance of delivery, and ensure the GSG community values and MC standards are implemented.
- Prepare budget estimates for technical activities.
- Work closely with the WB Tech Unit Officer on building a local talent pool for the program activities (speakers, alumni, consultants, trainers).
- Prepare scopes of work with contractors, including companies, consultants, and organizations, and work with the procurement team on the program needs.
- Prepare payment requests and financial documents for related program activities.
- Collect, and report on monitoring and evaluation data and maintain relevant program files.
- Report on the events and activities of the Tech Unit.
- Prepare logistic documents needed for the finance and procurement team.
- Liaises and coordinates with MC and GSG departments (including logistics and Admin).
- Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Mercy Corps and not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.
- Travel to various parts of the West Bank for activities support and follow-up (including staying in locations overnight if needed)
- Follow up with the social media team on highlighting the program's expansion in the WB.
- Research information as required for program development and delivery.
- Act as technical writers for documents as needed.
- Demonstrate teamwork spirit and a proactive attitude in accomplishing and delivering tasks.
- Absorb and quickly learn project details and operations/ procedures and provide ideas for improvements and enhancements when possible.
- Engage in developing and implementing partnership strategies that support programs.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualification & Transferable Skills
- University degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or any related field.
- 2-3 years of work experience in a relevant field. Experience in information management, administration or a highly organized role in other fields will be of value.
- Up to date knowledge of technical and IT industry developments.
- Exposure to the WB tech ecosystem players , having technical people network.
- Have analytical skills, experience, and good judgment to recommend and propose informed suggestions relative to project activities.
- Understanding the differences between the social, political, and economic contexts of Palestinian communities, and a talent for communications with people across all levels of society.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Proficiency in MS Office and google suite.
- Experience or familiarity in technical development is a plus.

Arrange workshops and training sessions, attending meetings and community gatherings.
- Ensure the effective implementation of training and capacity building program for local NGOs in the field.
- Monitor trainings and program activities and provide all support needed.
- Write reports documenting work carried out in the field
- Collect, analyze and report on monitoring and evaluation data and maintain relevant program files, and support documents.
- Prepare scopes of works with contractors, including companies, consultants and organizations
- Prepare logistic documents needed for finance and procurement team

يهدف مشروع وظيفتي الأولى إلى دعم فرص عمل مستدامة لخريجي الجامعات والتعليم والتدريب المهني والتقني الجدد والذين لم يمضي على تخرجهم أكثر من خمس أعوام من أجل تأهيلهم للعمل في عدد من الشواغر المتاحة في شركات القطاع الخاص، وذلك عبر برنامج تدريبي متكامل يعمل على تنمية المهارات الحياتية والفنية اللازمة ليصبح الخريج موظف كفوء قادر على تلبية احتياجات العمل. يشمل المشروع توفير 350 فرصة عمل في الشركات العاملة في قطاعات مختلفة في فلسطين لمدة عامين (2023-2024)،
يتضمن المشروع المكونين التاليين:
المكون الأول: تدريب على المهارات الأساسية للعمل ومهارات القرن الواحد والعشرين
حيث سيستفيد الخريج/ة من 25 ساعة تدريبية في المهارات الحياتية المطلوبة والتي سيحددها المشغل لضمان الاندماج الناجح للخريج/ة في مكان العمل.
المكون الثاني: التدريب على رأس العمل
بعد التدريب على مهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين، ستتاح لك الفرصة لتدريب الخريجين/الخريجات في شركتك وفقًا لمتطلبات الوظيفة الشاغرة. ولتعويضك عن جهود التدريب المبذولة، سيغطي المشروع جزئيًا رواتب الخريجين/الخريجات للأشهر الأربعة الأولى من فترة التدريب:
- من المتوقع أن يحصل كل خريج/ة على راتب وفقاً للحد الأدنى للأجور مقابل واجبات وظيفته.
- سيدعم الصندوق الفلسطيني للتشغيل الخريجين/الخريجات في الضفة الغربية والقدس بمبلغ شهري قيمته 300 يورو
- سيتم تغطية المبلغ المتبقي من قبل الشركة.
- بعد انتهاء التدريب، سيُعرض على الخريج/ة عقد عمل لمدة 6 أشهر على الأقل من قبل الشركة.
معايير الأهلية:
- أن تعمل شركتك في أحد القطاعات التالية:
1. السياحة.
2. الانشاءات.
3. الصناعة.
4. تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات (ICT)،
5. الخدمات.
6. الزراعة والثروة الحيوانية.
- أن تكون شركتك مسجلة لدى وزارة الاقتصاد أوالغرف التجارية أوالاتحادات الصناعية المتخصصة أو أي جهة رسمية أخرى.
- أن تكون هناك حاجة حقيقية للشاغر/ الشواغر في الشركة وبمهام وظيفية محددة.
- أن تكون شركتك ملتزمة مبادئ العمل اللائق (الحد الأدنى للأجور، التنوع الاجتماعي، الحقوق العمالية، الحماية الاجتماعية، التأمين الصحي...إلخ).
- أن تكون شركتك ملتزمة بعوامل السلامة والصحة المهنية اللازمة.
- أن تكون شركتك ملتزمة بتوفير بيئة عمل ملائمة وموائمة للشرائح المختلفة بما في ذلك الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، الإناث، إلخ.
الالتزامات المترتبة على الشركة:
- تقديم الارشاد والتوجيه للخريج/ة من خلال مشرف محدد.
- توفير بيئة عمل لائقة وملائمة.
- معاملة الخريج/ة خلال فترة التدريب على رأس العمل كموظف تحت الإشراف.
- تقديم التقارير والنماذج اللازمة لمتابعة وتقييم الأداء.
- الالتزام بقانون العمل الفلسطيني.
- تغطية المبلغ المتبقي من راتب الخريج/ة بما يتلاءم مع الحد الأدنى للأجور.
- استمرار عمل الخريج/ة في الوظيفة لمدة ست شهور على الأقل بعد انتهاء التدريب.

- اختيار الشركات المؤهلة للاستفادة من المشروع.
- دعوة الشركات التي تم تأهلها، للتسجيل كمشغل عبر البوابة الفلسطينية للتشغيل.
- اعلان الشركات المؤهلة عن الوظائف التي تم التوافق عليها عبر البوابة الفلسطينية للتشغيل.
- فرز ومقابلة المتقدمين للشاغر، واختيار المتقدم الأفضل من خلال الشركة المؤهلة وبإشراف الصندوق الفلسطيني للتشغيل.

What is the PIEC Program?
The PIEC program is a transformative initiative aimed at nurturing startups through critical growth phases. By providing essential resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities, our program empowers startups to overcome obstacles and scale operations, thereby contributing to economic progress and job creation in Palestine. Ultimately, we aspire to establish a sustainable and transformative support system for entrepreneurs, positioning Palestine as a leading startup hub regionally and globally.
To realize this vision, our program strategically focuses on several key objectives: fostering innovation and creativity, establishing a nurturing ecosystem, enhancing access to funding and mentorship, and facilitating investor readiness and global outreach.

Where You Stand Now? In the #1: Ideation and Innovation phase.
In the Ideation and Innovation phase, you will participate in a two-day hackathon (Hackathon and Pitching Day) where we provide the ideal environment to foster creativity and generate novel ideas to address specific challenges from various industries, utilizing AI. Are you:
