Purpose of the Position

The Administrative/Finance Assistant will provide essential administrative, financial, and marketing support to ensure the smooth functioning of Talleh Cultural Center's activities. This role will involve managing financial tasks using the Shamel program, assisting in marketing activities, and providing general administrative support to the team.

Key Responsibilities

The Administrative/Finance Assistant will be responsible for the following tasks:

a. Administrative Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day administrative operations, including answering calls, responding to emails, and handling correspondence.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for both digital and physical documents.
• Coordinate meetings, events, and appointments, including scheduling, preparing materials, and managing logistics.
• Support the procurement process, including purchasing office supplies and managing inventory.
• Assist in managing relationships with vendors, clients, and stakeholders.

b. Financial Responsibilities:

• Handle all financial data entry and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize the Shamel program for financial activities, reporting and budget tracking.
• Prepare financial reports, including expense reports, cash flow statements, and budget reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial audits and maintain compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Maintain petty cash and reconcile financial transactions.

c. Marketing Support:

• Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns, including content creation, social media management, and promotional activities.
• Monitor social media platforms, engage with audiences, and help grow the center's online presence.
• Provide support in organizing marketing events and promotional activities.

d. Multitasking and General Support:

• Manage multiple tasks effectively, including ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.

• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed to support the center's mission.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in an administrative or financial role.
• Knowledge of the Shamel program for financial management.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Basic knowledge of marketing principles, social media, and digital marketing tools.

Duration and Terms of Employment:

• The position is full-time, based at Talleh Cultural Center in Abu Dis .
• Working hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Saturday to Thursday.

 يسر منظمة المجتمع العلمي العربي أن تعلن عن الجائزة العلمية لعام 2024 حول إدارة الكوارث والتخفيف من آثارها في الدول العربية.

الجائزة مفتوحة للباحثين العاملين في المؤسسات العربية في مجالات إدارة الكوارث والتخفيف من آثارها

حفل تسليم الجائزة في الدوحة: 15 ديسمبر 2024.

خُصّصت جائزة منظمة المجتمع العلمي العربي (2024) للبحوث العلمية الرصينة التي تفيد التصدي لخطر الكوارث، بكافة أنواعها وأشكالها وبإدارة الكوارث والتخفيف من آثارها.

انّ التصدي لخطر الكوارث يعني تقليل إمكانية حدوثها، والاستجابة السريعة لها أثناء وقوعها والتعامل مع آثارها، كل ذلك لتقليل الإصابات والآثار المادية والمعنوية لها ومن ثمّ التعافي منها. تتعرض العديد من الدول العربية لأنواع مختلفة من الكوارث الطبيعية أو تلك التي هي من فعل الإنسان. ويزداد تنوعها مع التغير المناخي لكوكب الأرض ومع زيادة الأنشطة البشرية التي تدمر البيئة الطبيعية، كما يزداد تأثيرها مع عنصر المفاجأة وعدم التخطيط السليم للتعامل معها. وأصبحت الحاجـةُ ماسـة إلى تغيـير الـنهج المتبـع. فمـن الضـروري التحسـب للمخـاطر الـتي يجـري تحديدها واتخاذ إجراءات مبكـرة لمواجهتهـا والتعامل معها أثناء حدوثها وبعده. التنبؤ بوقوعها يتطلب استشراف للمستقبل من خلال جمع المعلومات وتحليلها. وتتطلب الاستجابة الفعّالة للكوارث جهدا في الوقت الفعلي للكارثة لمطابقة الموارد المتاحة مع الطلبات المتغيرة على عدد من الجبهات. وتحتاج وكالات الاستجابة للطوارئ وجمعيات الإغاثة إلى التزود بمعلومات واستراتيجيات مصادق عليها للتخطيط للكوارث والاستجابة لها في الوقت المناسب. هذه الاستراتيجيات مبنية على علوم ونتائج بحوث متعددة ومن كافة التخصصات العلمية والإنسانية، تترابط وتتداخل لبنائها. يمكن أن تلعب

النماذج القائمة على البيانات والمحاكاة الحاسوبية للتأهب للكوارث والاستجابة لها دورا رئيسيا في التنبؤ بتطور الكوارث والإدارة الفعالة لحالات الءطوارئ من خلال مجموعة متنوعة من تدابير التدخل. تشمل:

1. التخطيط للاستجابة للكوارث.
2. الإعلام العام والإنذار.
3. خدمات النقل الحرجة.
4. خدمات الرعاية الجماعية للسكان.
5. الصحة العامة والخدمات الطبية.

من أهم الأمور في هذا الصدد توفير كافة المعلومات والبيانات الضرورية المتعلقة بهذا الموضوع قبل وخلال وبعد وقوع هذه الكوارث ومعالجتها بشكل فعَّال، وهي عملية قائمة على وسائل وطرق نمذجة شبكات اتصالات متطورة ومُحدّثة باستمرار، تتضمن استخدام صور وبيانات فضائية وجوية وأرضية ومعلومات اجتماعية واقتصادية ولوجستية، الخ. كما يتم توظيف التقنيات الحديثة مثل الذكاء الاصطناعي والبيانات الضخمة والطائرات المسيرة وغيرها. بالإضافة إلى تقنيات التواصل وتحديد الأماكن، فضلاً عن استخدام الوسائل والتقنيات التقليدية المتعارف عليها.

الأحكام والشروط:

• أن يكون المترشح منتسباً لمؤسسة بحثية عربية أو جهة عمل في دولة عربية.

• أن يكون المترشح هو المؤلف الرئيسي للأوراق العلمية المُقدمة.

• أن يكون المترشح حاصلاً على درجة الدكتوراه.

• أن يكون البحث المُقدم في مجال يتعلق بإدارة الكوارث حصراً.

• أن يكون طلب الترشح مدعوماً بورقة بحثية حديثة حول موضوع الجائزة “إدارة الكوارث”.

• أن تكون الورقة البحثية التي تدعم الترشح منشورة في أحدى المجلات العالمية المرموقة (2019 وما بعدها).
