GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

The Tech Unit Program Coordinator will provide programmatic and administrative support for Mercy Corps Programs, primarily relating to Gaza Sky Geeks (GSG) expansion activities, in the West Bank. The PC will work with a network of local and multinational partners and stakeholders on issues concerning youth training, employability, capacity building, and economic development. The PC will work closely with the Program officer and GSG Vertical Leads on all aspects of the program and provide effective and efficient support to ensure smooth implementation including programmatic, administrative, logistical and procurement support, information gathering, and organizing training. The PC will work to ensure data quality, including data collection, data entry, and sound filing and documentation of program records for participants and activities. The PC will collect, analyze and report on monitoring and evaluation data, and prepare scopes of works as requested.

Essential Responsibilities

Support WB technical community strategy implementation including Technical boot camps, Technical training, and Self-study group offerings.

• Lead on the technical offerings implementation, quality assurance of delivery, and ensure the GSG community values and MC standards are implemented.
• Prepare budget estimates for technical activities.
• Work closely with the WB Tech Unit Officer on building a local talent pool for the program activities (speakers, alumni, consultants, trainers).
• Prepare scopes of work with contractors, including companies, consultants, and organizations, and work with the procurement team on the program needs.
• Prepare payment requests and financial documents for related program activities.
• Collect, and report on monitoring and evaluation data and maintain relevant program files.
• Report on the events and activities of the Tech Unit.
• Prepare logistic documents needed for the finance and procurement team.
• Liaises and coordinates with MC and GSG departments (including logistics and Admin).
• Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Mercy Corps and not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.
• Travel to various parts of the West Bank for activities support and follow-up (including staying in locations overnight if needed)
• Follow up with the social media team on highlighting the program's expansion in the WB.
• Research information as required for program development and delivery.
• Act as technical writers for documents as needed.
• Demonstrate teamwork spirit and a proactive attitude in accomplishing and delivering tasks.
• Absorb and quickly learn project details and operations/ procedures and provide ideas for improvements and enhancements when possible.
• Engage in developing and implementing partnership strategies that support programs.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualification & Transferable Skills

• University degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or any related field.
• 2-3 years of work experience in a relevant field. Experience in information management, administration or a highly organized role in other fields will be of value.
• Up to date knowledge of technical and IT industry developments.
• Exposure to the WB tech ecosystem players , having technical people network.
• Have analytical skills, experience, and good judgment to recommend and propose informed suggestions relative to project activities.

Essential Responsibilities

 Arrange workshops and training sessions, attending meetings and community gatherings.

• Ensure the effective implementation of training and capacity building program for local NGOs in the field.
• Monitor trainings and program activities and provide all support needed.
• Write reports documenting work carried out in the field
• Collect, analyze and report on monitoring and evaluation data and maintain relevant program files, and support documents.
• Prepare scopes of works with contractors, including companies, consultants and organizations
• Prepare logistic documents needed for finance and procurement team
• Liaises and coordinates with MC and GSG departments (including logistics and Admin).
• Assist in any other task or duty assigned by the Program officer

تعقد غزة سكاي جيكس - ميرسي كور  مخيم She Rises  في مدينة غزة في كابيتال مول الذي سيبدأ  10 أكتوبر حتى 24 أكتوبر لمدة 8 ساعات يوميا، حيث يهتم المخيم بزيادة الوعي والمعرفة لدى الفريلانسرز تجاه العمل على منصة أب وورك للعمل الحر. سيستضيف المخيم مجموعةً من الفريلانسرز أصحاب الحسابات المصنفة كأفضل حسابات على أب وورك، بجانب أصحاب الخبرة والتجربة لتبادل الخبرات ومساعدة المشاركين في بناء حسابات قادرة على المنافسة على موقع أب وورك. إضافة إلى الحديث عن المشاكل التي يواجهها المتقدمون للإنضمام إلى منصة أب وورك ومناقشة سبل إيجاد حلول تضمن حصولهم على وظائف من خلال المنصة، حيث سيقوم الموجّهون بتدريب الأعضاء المشاركين على كتابة البروبوزال الخاص بأبوورك

تقنيات سرد القصص المتنوعة: يهدف هذا المعسكر التدريبي إلى توسيع آفاق سرد القصص للمشاركين من خلال تعريفهم بتقنيات سرد القصص غير التقليدية وغير التقليدية. يشجع الحضور على الابتعاد عن أساليب سرد القصص العادية واستكشاف طرق جديدة للتعبير عن الذات والابتكار السردي.

بناء مجتمع داعم لرواية القصص في جميع أنحاء فلسطين: يسعى المعسكر التدريبي إلى خلق شعور بالانتماء للمجتمع بين المشاركين من غزة والخليل. من خلال تمارين سرد القصص التعاونية والمراجعات النقدية ، سيتواصل الحاضرون من كلا الموقعين مع زملائهم رواة القصص ، ويتلقون ملاحظات بناءة ، ويبنون ثقتهم في مشاركة عملهم.

4. المساهمة في دعم التقدم الوظيفي وزيادة الدخل.

الفئة المستهدفة:

1. الخريجين الذين ليس لديهم عمل.

2. العاملين في مجال العمل الحر ( freelancers ) المبتدئين.

 تدريب اللغة الانجليزية لاصحاب المهارات التقنية

هو تدريب مخصص لمن يمتلك مهارات تقنية متقدمة يستطيع العمل بها عبر الانترنت (عدا المترجمين وكتاب المحتوى) ولكن يفتقر لمهارات اللغة الانجليزية، نهدف فيه لتطوير المهارات اللغوية لدى المشاركين لتعزيز القدرة التنافسية في سوق العمل.

تم تطوير محتوى التدريب بالشراكة مع المجلس الثقافي البريطاني (British Council).

شروط القبول:

1.جميع التخصصات يحق لهم التسجيل عدا الترجمة و كتابة المحتوى.

ملاحظة/ يتم تقييم الطلب من خلال الأعمال التي يتم ارفاقها بالاضافة الى المقابلة في حال تم تأهيل المتقدم.

في حال قبول المتقدم في تدريب اللغة الانجليزية فانه يحصل على:

1. تدريب مجاني علي مهارات اللغة الانجليزية في المحاذثة و التواصل وغيرها من مهارات اللغة اللازمة لكل من يرغب في المنافسة في سوق العمل

2. بدل مالي لتغطية تكاليف المواصلات خلال فترة التدريب

3. في حال تم قبولك في التدريب فسوف يتم دعوتك لتقديم اختبار مستوى

4. هدف اختبار المستوى هو تحديد المجموعة المناسبة لك. ولا علاقة له بالقبول (اي ان كل من يتم دعوته للاختبار هو مقبول في التدريب)

5. الحق في استخدام مساحة عمل في مسرعة الأعمال (GSG) (Gaza Sky Geeks) .
